Lin

Jeremy Lin is an undrafted point guard for the New York Knicks. He received no scholarships for college coming out of high school, and eventually ended up going to Harvard. Recently, he’s been all over ESPN because of his great play (he got his first start less than two weeks ago and ended up with 28 points and 8 assists). Lin is pretty good, but ESPN is almost holding him in higher regard than Tebow. Everything is “Lin, Lin, Lin.” I’ve seen more puns with Lin’s name than I thought were even possible. So, I was looking for a photo gallery on ESPN.com (which are suprisingly hard to find for whatever reason) and the only recent one I could find was of course a Lin gallery. The pictures are interesting and even tell Lin’s story. This one has Lin front and center, with the caption “Lin positively bursts onto the NBA scene…” Lin is literally bursting through the defense in this picture, just as he bursted into popular culture. The rest of the gallery is full of great photos as well.

LIN’S LINE: 25 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds, 2 steals … Lin positively bursts onto the NBA scene, coming out of nowhere to outplay Deron Williams and nix the Nets at Madison Square Garden. (Nathaniel S. Butler/NBAE/Getty Images)

  1. I actually just read an article about him; he is all over the news and I feel like its come on suddenly. Its amazing that he’s doing this after receiving an economics degree from Harvard. Love the picture by the way!
